What Our Clients Say
“Superb" Booked as a destination for family to meet, it was so much more. Nikki has a wonderful manner. Views are awesome, very clean and comfortable. Fresh bread and flowers were unexpected and a special touch. Breakfast supplies were abundant. Kitenga raises standards. - Angela -UK and NZ
"Peaceful, quiet, wonderful” Although only 40 minutes from Auckland the property is in idylic countryside with glorious views of farmland, trees and the sea. The driveway takes you through native bush and then suddenly the house is revealed on its hillside location. The B&B rooms are at the far end of the house and have been cleverly designed so you often cannot see the rest of the property where the family resides. Yet you enjoy unobstructed views of the pool and the coastal views. There are two queen size rooms with ensuites which sit on either side of the lounge and kitchen area. Perfect for two couples travelling together. Nikki will only ever take one booking, so if you are the lucky ones staying, you will have the place to yourselves. All the mod cons are there including Sky TV, CD/DVD player with a selection to listen to or watch, WiFi, kitchen, washer/dryer (with clothes line outside the kitchen) and there is a welcome bottle of bubbles - so buy some local oysters in Clevedon and enjoy them on the deck as I did. Heavenly! The swimming pool is long and deep and there is a lovely hot jacuzzi to soak in at your leisure. The bed was firm and super comfortable. I left the curtains open at night and was woken by the early morning light. There was no noise at night, not one sound. My goodness it was peaceful. I am really looking forward to my next stay.
What a Find!” Two days later I still can't believe our good luck at finding Kitenga. Nikki and Bruce who own the house that has the attached B & B have not been active in marketing it in the last couple of years hence not many reviews on Tripadvisor. The accommodation is excellent but even that pales into insignificance compared to the stunning views. Our only regret was not booking another night
What a wonderful discovery this property was. The rooms were spacious, light and modern, and contained every amenity required for a comfortable stay. The décor was lovely; in fact the whole setup had a luxurious feel about it. The homemade bread and spreads plus other breakfast provisions, wine and chocolates were generous and tasty.
